A3 Community directive

The A3 Community Directive has been introduced into the EN 81.2:2010 standards, which must be applied from 1/1/2012 in order to comply with Directives 95/16/EC and 2006/42/EC.

The new A3 Community Directive requires:

• PROTECTION AGAINST UNINTENDED MOVEMENT OF THE CAR WITH THE DOORS OPEN
• UP AND DOWN LEVELLING CORRECTION

Any movement of the car with the car doors open, the landing doors unlocked and the controller not authorised to move must now be prevented BY LAW.
